    Live cd help

So me friend wanted to try fedora 8 so I burned him a live cd to try. we got it to start by making cd-rom boot first but now it says unpacking linux then says something about a buffer error? He's using a dell that's about all I know about it.
    Thanks in advanced

    Re: Live cd help

there are many possible problems here and you have not given enough information.

it is possible that the laptop simply doesnt have enough ram.
it is possible that the ISO image you downloaded was corrupted.
it is possible that the burn process had errors or corrupted the disk.
it is possible that you downloaded a version of fedora which is incompatible with his hardware i.e. his cpu is 32 bit and you downloaded a 64 bit version.
