I could be wrong, but it looks like a regular toolbar with transparency and some nice-looking icons.

I'd agree, it just looks like a nicely tweaked gnome panel

I'd really like to know how to do this:

    Supposedly that's possible in Gnome.

Since that was posted recently, in this thread why not pm aussiedini and ask?
Some people say I'm a man of few words, but the fact is that most people talk too much without actually saying anything.

I wonder, is there a way to get Engage to work in Gnome? I dont really like Enlightenment all that much...But Engage looks sweet!

Re: OS X Launch Bar in Screenshot? What is it?

In the past I've tried Apple style docks, but always come to the same conclusion - it's too big, too distracting, clumsy, kludgy and inefficient. Style uber alles? No thanks. Some of the reasoning in this link doesn't apply to us, but points 9, 5, 4, 3 and 2 do, and I agree.

The dock looks nice and fancy but at the end of the day can get annoying. The only worthwhile dock I'd consider using on a daily basis is the default one in E17 which is smaller, not distracting, more out of the way - a compromise between a dock and Gnome panel.

As for that complete Mac clone screenshot above; at that point why not simply use a Mac? If price is a factor then hunt down a used one. I'll never understand this craving people have to make their OS look entirely like a different one.
