Well it looks like tomorrow I will be getting 3 more servers, 2 compaq proliant 1600 and 1 dl380 (the dl380 has no drives/cages) I could bring them to a meeting if anyone is interested or knows of good home for them. I will update this thread when I know more about them (PII-PIII, drives, cpu's ect) proliant 1600 tower style http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/q...10034_div.html dl380 rack style http://h18002.www1.hp.com/products/q...10495_div.HTML

dl380 pIII-1.0ghz 256-L2 133 buss 1.0gb memory no drives/trays. (I might keep this one and substitute my ml350 dual core) the 1600's I haven't got to boot yet, I have been told one works, 1 flakey after os is installed, 8- 18.2gb and 2- 9.1 drives between the both of them. these 3 total 7 servers I have received so far, more to come i'm sure. up for grabs, means no charge/free to a good home...

What do you expect the future servers to look like? Same sort of models?

Hay I'm willing to take them off of you're hands
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
Just south of you, Ubuntu Ohio is looking for a server to use during install fests and Ohio Ubucon '08. If you have a spare one, we'd be more than happy to make sure it gets a good home
Ubuntu Ohio | Linux Game Tome | Linux Game Publishing | Tux Games
I'm in detroit if you want I could give a good home to one or two of them.

I am going on e-bay to get some drive cages for the dl380 (rack mount). so the ml350 (rack mount) may be up for grabs, funny thing the ml350 has less than 10 hours use since 1999 ! ***edit*** the dl380 may have a slight cost envolved. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=008

I'm not sure what you mean by" at the tug" but It would be used in my home for ftp and media sharing. I would use it if thats what you mean... either way they're your's and you can do what you want with them.
