I just come across another Nintendo DS emulator called iDeaS. I haven't had a chance to mess around with it yet but there is a linux version and looks to be updated often.
You can never have too many emulators

I got to try out that iDeaS a little bit yesterday and I have to say it is great. It's ready to go straight from the download and is fairly straight forward.
If you want to use a controller you need to download a plugin that is found on the bottom of the same page as the emulator.
I had a few games that did not work in DeSmume that ran great and others that had better performance in iDeaS.
This is going to be my main DS emulator from here on out.
Bump for those that missed it and were looking for it.
Added a link to the new FCEUX how-to by punkrockguy318. FCEUX has seen many new changes that have not made it into the Ubuntu repositories yet.

In mednafen, when playing Dracula X the music is too fast (using .cue file on drive) (gameplay is just fine). Anybody else experience this?
*EDIT*
Found the cause, I incorrectly converted the mp3s in audacity at a different bitrate. Converting the mp3s like this fixed the problem
sox Track01.mp3 -r 44100 -c 2 Track01.wav resample
