I think Ubuntu should develop a contest and allow people to enter their creations in wallpaper... which would then be voted on by all users and the winning wallpaper gets inserted into the next release!

I saw this and I agree, very nice. And a contest would be great, some of the talented folks out there could come up with attrctive eye candy for those of us that are artistically challenged.

Very nice - but it's so - uh, blue - I must admit I've become rather fond of the "earth tones" of the original Ubuntu theme.

I definitely agree about the wallpaper/graphics competition - I'm one of those people that can't draw a straight line with a ruler...and anything I try on a computer is even worse!<g>

Blue is Reliable

I've studied metaphysics for a long time, and colors definitely mean different things in their own way.

I totally agree. I wanna go all-out blue!! I'm looking for a blue GDM theme that looks just like the default ubuntu theme but blue.

yo yo my fellow ubuntites ! how now brown cow. I made some upsplash screens I just have to share cuz they are too cool to keep to myself. Sorry it's for xubutu, but if you drop me an email with a special request it's more likely then not it will be in your in-box the next day. Please if you could leave me some emailed feedback so I can know what was liked most. FYI I re vamped the logo upsplash screen from anywhere from clean and slick to Frick'in Funky. I dont agree with your blue thing, by your logic everything should be blue, and thats just stupid.
