It looks cool but I would bold the red dots and the leave the font normal but that is just my opinion.

here is the link for the next Forum Council agenda:

Also; I started a fun userbar thread here:
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...93#post3528893

(please use the userbar thread just to have fun, not to bring up the issue of images in signatures, again if you desire change bring it up to the council)

This has already been brought before the Forum Council. Images in signatures will not be alowed.

Read the August Forum Council Meeting:

Item #3 The FC has decided not to allow images in forum members signatures. You can read the reasoning behind this decision in the logs on the same post.

It would be very nice, but everyone would have to have a unique one, and more than likely, everyone would just get 1 nice one that said "Ubuntu user"

of course mine would cycle though mac OS, ubuntu, kubuntu, xubuntu, gnome, kde, xfce...

This has been ruled out numerous times for stated reasons .

Yes, that's right, some 'normal' people have animated avatars, and I'm wondering how? They're not a problem, it's very minimal, but I'm wondering how they did this?!?! (not that I want to, I really see no point (though it would be nice to be able to have pics in the signature... (small ones)))

well, no one has a 15" anymore!

I thought of that, but for the most part, I'm not too concerned because, now not joking, the majority of people would fit it nowadays!

I tested it with 17", and mines 19", and they're fine, so...

Re: To All Admins/Moderators/Forum Staff, etc.

    From the Forum FAQ: http://ubuntuforums.org/announcement.php?f=48
Why can't I use an animated gif as my avatar? In the past (up to sometime near the end of 2005) users were allowed to use animated gifs as avatars. This ended when there was a sudden wave of really distracting and obnoxious flashing, gaudy avatars. (Honestly, can you concentrate on information when looking at animated avatars like these?) Rather than make a long list of what is an isn't acceptable for animated avatar usage and then forcing the staff to monitor and police their use it was decided that they would be banned altogether. Those users who had appropriate animated avatars at the time were allowed to keep them and so you may see a small number of them floating around the forums. If/when those users decide to change their avatars they will not be allowed to replace the current animated gifs with another animated avatar but will have to choose an regular non-moving picture like the rest of us.

    yes exactly!

Well, I guess my original question of how they did it was solved - they got them before the rule was put in place apparently
