Counter Strike Source server

I followe the tutorial about getting my Dedicated server up but it did not put a server.cfg file in my cfg folder. Now when I wrote up my .cfg and tried to put it in it said access is denid(sp?) So I sudo chmod 755 /srcds/cstrike and /srcds/cstrike/*subdirectories* all chmodded to 755. I am still recieving access Denial. anyclues?

Perhaps owned by root, and you need to change ownership?
