    OUTPUT:Blocked=Savvis Hits=22 SRC=192.168.1.4.50587 DST=209.8.224:25 Proto=TCP

    thanks for any help

You could ignore the ports that utorrent uses if you don't want IPblock to filter those connections.

If you add "smtp" to ignored outgoing TCP ports and restart IPblock it should allow mail traffic.

Has anyone had any problems with it crashing as soon as you start running it? I can start it in the terminal and it dosn't give any errors except that it won't update but, that could be because I'm at school. Whenever I start it the screen flickers and then goes nuts. If I wait a while compuiz shuts off and returns me back to the desktop with Ipblock running. I've checked the dependancies and I made sure java was installed.

What does the logfile /tmp/ipblockUI.log say after you start it through the main menu ?

    Re: HOWTO: Graphical IP Blocker

I am currently running Ipblock with the following list:
    level1.gz
    ads-trackers-and-bad-prOn.gz
    edu.gz
    spyware.gz
    bogon.gz

I had a longer list but completely redid my system and they are gone.
Can someone forward me the link to get them (i.e. China, Microsoft, Trojan.gz, etc...)? I had around twenty (20) I think.

    Thanx

All lists can be added through List tab -> Add URL .

    Re: HOWTO: Graphical IP Blocker

Thanks all for the explanations... I have a quick question though:

If I close the GUI, I understand that the IPlist is continuing to run; and I presume that it is running with all the lists that I added using IPblock...

On the other hand, I still think that it would be great to be able to minimize IPblock to system notification area. Is there a way to do it?
