OK, I've been running gutsy for a while and, curiously, the thing that changes less on my system is my theme. I used to like MurrinaNeo, but it no longer works as intended in Gutsy. Anyway.
Wallpaper The_Wall_2_by_truetoform.jpg found at deviantart. I'm sure a google search with the image name will yield results.
GTk+: MurrinaFancyAncient, available at gnome-look
Metacity: Clearlooks-Blackmod-Dark
Icons: Tango-Original. As much as I like tango icons, I never really liked the blue folders. The grey ones are, however, lovely.
I'm also running compiz-fusion for a change (I don't really use it) as I'm testing a new ati driver. I'm also running some pretty curious font settings, with subpixel rendering but no hinting, and with the bytecode interpreter disabled.

Yes, it is part of some decluttering on the menus for Gnome 2.20. This will be accesible via System->Preferences->Appearance. An even quicker way to access it is right-click on the desktop and then "Change Wallpaper". I do like it, and it really cleans the preferences menu, since it encompasses "theme", "wallpaper", "fonts", "interface" and "desktop effects".

I like this setup a lot:
icons: loepard-icons
window-border: leopard
controls: OSX-theme
all three taken from www.gnome-look.org
wallpaper: from www.3dsceneries.com
lol yeah quite idiotic I know. thing is I wanted to try another distro so I picked Fedora and since I never used KDE I chose Fedora with KDE.
I like the KDE apps (I use Amarok, K3b, Kaffeine and some other smaller applications) but I seriously dislike the way themes are managed -yes, it let's you control a lot of stuff but I prefer to keep it simple.
AND since my grub got messed up and I can't boot to ubuntu I though I might as well make kde confy
