Well... I am not spending much time on this.
I couldn't get the layers from Manicho's psd file and I will not be able to do the theme at least someone exports the file to a gimp compatible format or one file by layer in png format.
In the next version there will be a new interface to configure the grabbers, more simple and powerful.
Also the youtube grabber will be renamed to web-videos if I can't think of a better name and it will include other networks as dailymotion.(Ask here for other networks)

How do I make this work with Banshee 1.2?
I will fix that for the next version.
You can do the following:
Line 137 should say:Code:sudo gedit /usr/local/share/avatar-factory/launchers/music
Change banshee by banshee-1:Code:eval banshee --play --enqueue $(find "$1" -maxdepth 1 -type f -iname '*.mp3' -or -iname '*.aac' -or -iname '*.m4a' -or -iname '*.ogg' -or -iname '*.flac' -or -iname '*.wma' | sort | sed -e 's/^/"/' -e 's/$/"/' | tr '\n' ' ')
I didn't test it but I think that it should work.Code:eval banshee-1 --play --enqueue $(find "$1" -maxdepth 1 -type f -iname '*.mp3' -or -iname '*.aac' -or -iname '*.m4a' -or -iname '*.ogg' -or -iname '*.flac' -or -iname '*.wma' | sort | sed -e 's/^/"/' -e 's/$/"/' | tr '\n' ' ')
I tried but it isn't working. It seems a banshee problem, "banshee-1 --help-all" gives some options but neither work.
banshee-1 --play-enqueued track.mp3
banshee-1 --play track.mp3

Hi Yuzem, I'm kinda lost here.. How do I get my stuff to look like what you have in the screenshots in your first post? I installed Avatar Factory, but cant figure out how to make it look like yours. How do I use the music widget? I dont see it in my screenlets. Also my music avatars dont look anything like yours. I'm using Nautilus in hardy heron btw.
Zenity doesnt work.. its not in the applications menu and when I hit alt+F2 to try and run it that way it doesnt work either. So I'm trying to do things through 'Avatar Factory' in the applications menu. There arent many options. I dont see how you got it looking so good, mine looks rather boring and lackluster. Here's a screenshot.. There are huge spaces in between the albums, they dont look as pretty as yours. Did all you guys just figure it out on your own or is there a tutorial I'm missing on how to fully customize everything?
Nautilus has changed in Hardy and some things doesn't work as before.
The icons size is one of the problems. I am planning to fix that in the next version.
You could try Thunar for now, it is a great file manager:
Another problem is the "no name" option, I don't know how to fix that...Code:sudo apt-get install thunar
The widget should appear automatically if the avatars are set to act as launchers (--type 1) but it doesn't work as before. The "no name" option doesn't work and when resized to the maximum size it doesn't match the icon maximum size.
So as I understand, the best way to configure everything is by using commands through the terminal? I really like the way that music pic looks. How can I achieve this?
Sorry for all the questions.. I just really like all your screenshots and would like to get the same results. Thanks for making Avatar Factory.
No problem, make all the questions you want.
The gui is an interface for the commands. For advanced things you must use the command line.
To make the widget look like the picture:
And insert:Code:gedit ~/.avatar-factory/avatar-launcher
That deals with the "no name" problem.Code:widget_name=.
Then right click the widget and select "resize icon" or something like that.
Scale the widget to the maximum size.
To have multiple albums just drag an album to the widget. The album will be added to the playlist depending on the player of your choice.
If you are having problems when dragging an album to the widget and you are using AWN (avant window manager) it could be that AWN is getting in the way. You have to drag it to the upper part of the widget or move the widget up a little.
