    Hy people.

How high should "glxgears" FPS be with openchrome drivers on an Acer Aspire 1355 (AMD Athlon XP-M 2600+)?
    I get around 50-52 FPS...

Moving windows in Xorg I see them somehow "sticky" movement...

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

It should hire then 100 at leased, while this is always speculation glxgears is not a benchmarking tool. You can only use it to see if 3D rendering is working. What does glxinfo say? And you should use the drivers that come with Ubuntu, there should not be a need to compile the driver manually.

    Cheers

    create new symbolic link
    Prepare the installation files [Y/n]?y
Install the via openchrome 2D driver [Y/n]?y
/home/gevork/Desktop/xf86-video-unichrome-0.2.6/openchrome-stable.sh: line 76: svn: command not found
/home/gevork/Desktop/xf86-video-unichrome-0.2.6/openchrome-stable.sh: line 78: cd: openchrome: No such file or directory
/home/gevork/Desktop/xf86-video-unichrome-0.2.6/openchrome-stable.sh: line 79: ./autogen.sh: No such file or directory
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop.

you seem to be missing subversion(svn), install it and then try
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install subversion

Re: HOW TO: Compiling and Installing the OpenChrome Graphical VIA Driver

I know it's nearly two and a half years since these posts, but i was wondering of the progress made in the openchrome project on the K8M890CE chipset. I have a laptop (so i can't really change the video card) and i want to get the openchrome driver working on ubuntu 11.04. If any1 still picks up on this thread I would gladly apreciate any help.

I know this is an old post, and might not be ment for current Ubuntu. It did run with errors, but I'm still using the Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 0x300) instead of OpenChrome. I have the factory drivers for my integrated graphics card, but I they don't seam to work with Ubuntu 12.04.
