Approval Application

Well, the worst kept secret might as well get out to everyone else.

I added the approval application to the wiki the other day. Immediately after I did that Lyz updated it, followed by a host of others! It's starting to look like a real application.

For anyone new to this, we need to have this format filled in. I, as the team contact, will then forward the link to the wiki with a formal request to for approval.

With that being said, everyone should take a look at the wiki and add or polish the application as need be.

Thank you to everyone for everything that has been happening here. We are doing a fantastic job, and I am certain that we are on track for approval very soon.

Hi Vorian,

Do you mean we should add more details of future projects and events? Even if they're just in the planning stage? If that's the case, I have several I could add. I really wasn't sure if the Road Map included future projects or not.

That's what I put in the roadmap, some events we will be doing in the future. I just stuck them up real quick and will beef them up later. Stick all of your MALT stuff up there too if you get some time.

oooh, I will! Let me know if I get a little out of control or flat out unrealistic. I see many projects in our future. I'll try to update it before our Wednesday night irc chat.

Everyone post upcoming events and what you'd like to see as potential future projects. Post them now, and what we'll do is discuss them Wed. night and edit/organize them so that they are consistent (and coherent).

Vorian, we've got some great motivated people here, man! I posted the skeleton and it fleshed itself out almost immediately!

As much as I hate to get into politics...

I just noticed that the Application has a possible future event of working with Boy/Girl Scouts.

The Girl Scouts are fine.

The Boy Scouts are an openly discriminatory organization, banning homosexuals and atheists. I take great personal exception to this and would not be involved in an event that helps and promotes such an organization. I don't think this is very "Ubuntu"

I'm going to address this in a bit. I just got back in from a putting stepping stones around the side of the house. But I want to get cleaned up, eat, and then think a bit before responding.
