Phatch is a simple to use cross-platform GUI Photo Batch Processor which handles all popular image formats and can duplicate (sub)folder hierarchies. Phatch can batch resize, rotate, rename, ... and much more actions in minutes instead of hours or days if you do it manually. Get Started!

Thanks a lot for the compliments! Please subscribe to our PPA to help testing the new versions of Phatch. At the moment it are bug fix releases with more translations and some cool new artwork, so they'll work better as what is by default in Karmic:

Why does your deb have Blender and locate as dependancies?

The PPA contains development snapshots of the upcoming phatch releases. They are used to test all features of Phatch with a wider audience. Or to quote the ppa page itself:
Note that if you install Phatch from this repository, it will depend on all packages with which Phatch can interact. This includes Blender, Inkscape, imagemagick, ...
If you don't want all the new features just use Phatch which ships with vanilla Ubuntu:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install Phatch
Blender is a dependency in the PPA as Phatch has a Blender action which can turn any image into a 3D image of a lcd screen, book, box, can, ... Phatch uses locate to locate various useful files such as fonts on your system.

Re: Phatch: New Photo Batch Processor calling for testers

I'm using version 0.2.4 and I'm having problems applying IPTC tags.

    I'm attaching two pictures:
    - the first one shows what I'm trying to do: set the copyright field to "test", and apply a "phatch" tag to the keywords field.
    - the second picture shows the result: only the first letter of the tag is inserted in the copyright field, while the result for the keywords field is even more complicated... the word "phatch" is interpreted as 6 keywords, one for each letter.

Exif tags seem to work ok.

Any ideas if I'm doing something wrong? Is it a bug?
