That first link was unnecessary...he is obviously new and that video, all be it funny, is a little sarcastic to shoot at a new person here, imho.

I'd rather remove the second link than the first. There are far too many redundant threads, with questions already answered. Of all Linux communities I know Ubuntu one is the least computer/internet literate. Keeping forums cleaner is good for everyone.

Yea, thats because Ubuntu is much easier to use than other some other distros, and there are alot of people trying it out for the first ever linux experience (I ask questions all the time that are considered annoying and noobish here) I find that kind helpful responses beat out sarcastic elitism any day. Just a thought.

And it's a good thought. The only way that Linux in general and Ubuntu specifically will continue to grow is if new users are treated with respect, not as "stoopid noobs".

But that first link is freakin' hilarious!

This guy has it right. Sarcastic elitists are worse than people who neglect the search button. <sarcasm> Lets create more stereotypes about linux and linux users!</sarcasm>
