    Ubuntu Cursors

Just wondering, but how do people make the cursor packs? Is there a package in Synaptic to make them? Because I'd like to contribute to Gnome-look and sites like that.

If you go onto kde-look.org or gnome-look.org you'll find some cursor packs on there..
There is also a turorial on how to make your own cursors..

    Hope this helps

    Re: Ubuntu Cursors

There's a few cursor packages in the repos. 2 that I can think of now are Chameleon cursors and Comix cursors. You can also download others from gnome-look.org and use gcursor to install them.
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install gcursor

    Re: Ubuntu Cursors

It's basically just a tar.gz of images...just look inside a cursor pack. And you don't need a special program to make them, just anything that outputs an image

If that's the case, what are these strange file formats?

I really have no idea why I said that now. I think I saw a few themes that used images directly but I think that was special. Plus, that was 2 years ago and I probably wasn't thinking straight
