    Plasma Pong

I'm running fiesty fawn with wine version 0.9.33.

I downloaded Plasma Pong for windows (Setup.exe) and executed it from the command line
    Code:
    wine Setup.exe
    It installs and plays effortlessly.

Thats awesome. I've heard a lot about wow through wine. Out of all the games I used to play I've only installed Quake2. I ran the setup file on the cd through wine and it works perfectly. I tried grand theft auto 1 and it didnt work but I've yet to try grand theft auto 2.

Oh, I just installed utorrent through wine and its super fast. The taskbar icon even appears in the system panel in gnome right next gaim, volume, etc.

The only games I'm into are mainly first person shooters. I had half-life 2 , quake2 and Medal of Honor installed when I ran windows. Apparently all 3 of those work through wine.

I've been playing Urban Terror a lot after installing it yesterday. It's just like counter strike.

How long have you been using ubuntu? What programs do you use mainly?

Quake2 has a native linux version freely available; you just point it to the data files.

The setup for it runs fine, but when I actually run the game nothing happens. In the terminal it says:

    Code:
An error has occured in the sound sub-system: (34) An invalid parameter was passed to this function.
    I am running wine 0.9.40.

    Same as above.
Error: Could not open the scoreboard file: '/scores.ini'
An error has occured in the sound sub-system: (52) Error initializing output device.
The FMOD sound system could not be initialized.
as well as the above line repeated quite a few times.

    Re: Plasma Pong

I figured out how to stop the error I was getting, you have to run wincfg and specify an audio driver however, I am still am not able to run it. Now it says,

    Code:
Error: Could not open the scoreboard file: '/scores.ini'
