    I Am Automatix Free!

Well, I have a done it. I am flying solo without the assistance of Automatix2. I have to admit that it was nice to have a tool to use until I could get up to speed but I think that there is less of a need with Feisty. You can now find a lot of the software that was giving people the most difficulty in installing, multimedia related, in the Medibuntu repository. There is also better driver support. There is still a lot for me to learn but I am on my way. Thanks to the Automatix crew for making it possible for me to make the transition for windows to Linux a pleasant experience. Of course, having an OS like Ubuntu is not a bad way to start either.

Not a problem. It works great as all of the needed stuff is included.

Yes, Automatix was great in some regard, however, it was oft buggy for me and simply wasn't held to the same development standards that most Ubuntu packages are. I do know that this is a third-party application, BTW.

Silly question - once I have added the repos I just install the listed medibuntu packages individually using apt-get?

If you have successfully installed the repo you should have everything that you need. All of the individual packages are included in that repo.

However, simply including the name of the repo in your sources.list is not defined as installing the repo, right? Don't you have to instruct a program manager to use the software in the repo?

Have you looked at the wiki that has the instructions? It does all of that.
