Its finally done!! The WoP team released the standalone version of this great game today. The installer file is about 550 MB, several download locations are available for the linux version, so take a closer look at their Homepage. There you will aswell find a list of public game servers.

Finished downloading and played it moments ago, first impression: This game rocks and it's free!
So start downloading and install with

sudo sh worldofpadman.run

I wouldn't know where to find them either, but it works on my sytem with all settings high and a resolution of 1280x1024
my system: Dapper Drake on an AMD Athlon 2000xp+ with a NVidia Geforce 6600GT and 756mb of memory.

Hmm, I have el-crappo Intel 64M video, so it's always iffy with the 3D.

Read somewhere it uses Quake 3 engine so you might check the req. for quake 3.
