I was hoping there was a PA Ubuntu users' group. Great to know you are out there. I have used Linux for years, mostly Red Hat / Fedora and as much as I love those distros, Ubuntu "just works" on my newer hardware without any grief. I'm sold on it and I recommend it to anyone who will listen.
It's good to have you here ichilegend!
Hey all i'm from right above delaware outside of philly.
Blaster, It's good to have you here!
I'm new to the LoCo thing as I am a new user. I'm from Swarthmore (just south of the city) and am looking forward to helping other users and learning more myself. Hoping to someday use Ubuntu as a solution for my office. Vince
if your office is looking to set up linux and such I can probably help you with that. PM me or something with what you're trying to set up

Originally Posted by Iamalex if your office is looking to set up linux and such I can probably help you with that. PM me or something with what you're trying to set up We're nowhere near that yet. My office is just me, my secratary, and a few attorneys that show up when needed. She's not computer literate, and it will be tough to teach her anything new. As a novice Ubuntu (and Linux) user and the only tech support my office has, I'm not ready to support us with Linux. My goal for now is to learn enough to switch us when our current systems need upgrading. (approx 2-2.5 years) In the meantime I'm going to be learning everything I can to hot that goal. Thanks for the offer though! Vince
