    Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

I am new to Ubuntu and am totally impressed! While loading a clean load of 6.10 onto a trial PC I built using scrap parts laying in the basement, all of my hardware was recognized. Recently, I had another of my PCs lock up with Windows XP. For some reason, it just started to randomly stop processing tasks. It really bummed me out because I used it to connect to my HDTV with a wireless mouse and keyboard. So, instead of wasting money on virus software and/or a fresh load of XP, I simply brought the Ubuntu machine upstairs, plugged it into the HDTV and started it up. To my complete amazement, the USB Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard plugged into the Ubuntu box and worked immediately. Unbelievable! No driver installs or anything. This post most likely sounds pretty corny to the seasoned Linux veterans, but I was impressed!

Glad you are impressed. Ubuntu is quickly becoming more and more used by people who want an alternative to Microsoft's solutions
