Check out the Documentation Wiki: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KentuckyTeam/Documentation

It needs a LOT of work, but I think you can see where I was trying to go with this. I imagined a place where we can send people to get some info about Ubuntu, but more specifically what our Team does with Ubuntu. Things like, what apps we recommend, how to configure those apps, WiFi setups, and on and on. Also, to put out there anything that might help new users migrate to Linux.

I found this nice doc about Windows-to-Linux Roadmap authored by a guy at IBM. Although not Ubuntu-specific, I felt it had a LOT of good information for the Windows user wanting to give Linux a shot. Check it out: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KentuckyTeam...inux%20Roadmap

    Re: Documentation

I'd only read part one of the Roadmap, and it seems like a good tool.
Though it would be nice to have a summarized version of it for some people who aren't willing to read all that.

    Re: Documentation

There have been many changes made to the doc portion of the team wiki. It is worth it to take a look at what has been done and if you see something that is missing then lets get it right.

On the same idea as the documentation page we are starting to put together a "Welcome to Ubuntu" packet that we can hand out at Install Fests, Release Parties, etc. What are some of your ideas of what should go in them?
    Thanks,

    etank
