^, I don't know what your advertised speed from your provider is (my guess is you have a dsl connection), but can you run the tool I referenced in the next post in that thread?

I would but it looks like that tool is only for Windows, I only use Sabayon or Ubuntu....these results are from my computer with Sabayon

^^, That's too bad. This is one of those times, that having access to Windows is a good thing I guess. By the way, I'm on Dapper all the time, so changing the settings with TCP Optimizer using Windows, bleeds over to which ever OS you're using.

Check my next post after the one that RAV TUX referenced in that thread. If you have access to Windows, run TCP Optimizer to change the size of the "pipe" (fat pipes are good - skinny pipes are bad). Though it might be, I doubt it's your phone line that's holding you back from maximizing your connection speed. It's probably the settings in your box.

So the question is I have 3 computers hooked up to a Westell 327W, one with Sabayon, one with Ubuntu and my wife's convertible with Windows XP tablet edition; If I use her computer will it essential effect the results on my Linux computers?
