EPSON flatbed scanners requiring proprietary Epkowa plug-in software. Although Epson/Epkowa provides the plug-in through their iScan package at no charge, the package will not install in Ubuntu 17.10 due to a dependency issue. My attempts to back-level the packages (libusb, libsane) have resulted only in myriad other incompatibilities in the system.

The iScan package installs properly in the 16.4 LTS release. Recommend users requiring the use of a scanner not upgrade to 17.10 at this time.

Live works fine. Bug report when installing either to the SSD or to another USB Stick.

Firstly Dapper Drake is no longer officially supported. The next release slated for LTS support ifrastructure is 18.10 slated for release in October of this year

Next LTS comes out in April, next month.
LTS always come out in April, even numbered years. (the lone exception being 6.06 which was suppose to come out in April but was delayed)
Anything else is a standard release and only gets 9 months support.

Not sure what the Dapper Drake references, though.

I have HP pavilion wave. Everything works except the discrete graphics card which is the AMD r9 m470. All I get is Intel he graphics 530 what do I do.

Radeon Pro WX2100 doesn't seem to be supporting more than one monitor at the moment with the driver situation it seems.

Dapper Drake and 6.06 are the same--my first Ubuntu install. Somebody following up after 12 years?

Tried both from usb stick
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 18.10

Live Fails. Fans spin up to maximum, system halts before showing bios messages. Waiting 5mins changed nothing.
