Hardware: Logitech MK320 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse combo

    OS: Ubuntu Studio 10.10 (AMD64)

Functionality: Plug and play; works straight out of the box. Most of the hotkeys (volume up/down/mute, calculator, mail, sleep) work as well. A few of the hotkeys (Internet, lock screen) do not, but that's just a matter of configuration, I'm sure.

Overall, I was very impressed! A good product made excellent by the fact that it plays so nicely with Linux.

Here's my complete system setup, and it all works out the box. Will list driver version where possible.

I've got Ubuntu 10.10 64bit installed on a dual-boot with Win7. As of posting, the kernel is 2.6.35-24-generic, with Gnome 2.32.0.

Asus P7P55 LX motherboard - so far just don't use any IDE drives as there's still Linux booting issues with the IDE controller for some reason.

    Intel Core i5 760

4GB of memory being recognised as 3.9GiB. Not sure if that's actually 4GB as GiB is different to GB.

Samsung hard drive. Not sure what model, but it's a 1TB drive.

Creative 5.1 speakers. All speakers work fine through the sound testing, but haven't been able to test through any other means.

Samsung DVD Writer. Works fine reading disks, not tried writing to any yet.

Nvidia GeForce GTS450. Using 260.19.06 drivers which is the minimum version required for this card.

Samsung SynMaster 943 monitor. Yep, this works as well, even at higher resolutions than Win7 would allow.

Microsoft Natural Ergonic 4000. All the basic buttons work out the box. Not bothered about the extra features.

Logitech MX-400. Works perfectly out the box.

Ubuntu 10.04 on laptop Axer Extensa 5220

This worked nearly straight out of the box. I installed it on the backup partition that Acer had created and the GRUB dual boot routine worked excellently.

Only the wireless network did not work straight away. The acer has a built in Broadcom wireless. To get it working I just plugged it in to a router and clicked from the menu in the top bar System> Administration> Hardware Drivers... and let Ubuntu search for drivers. It came up with some combination of a wrapper and a driver. I selected them both and it worked from then on.

The wireless connection did seem to drop out occasionally but that seemed do fix itself, possibly as a result of downloading updates.

The only thing that is wrong is that sometimes after going into sleep mode, it fails to wake and I have to force it off and reboot it. Not a big problem.

I am currently running Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid and am having fantastic results with it.
I recently purchase an IOGear Bluetooth USB Micro Adapter GBU421WM. I plugged it in went to PREFERENCES -> BLUETOOTH and set it up so I could send pics from my phone to my computer.
That was all I did and it works great.
I don't get to help much on here but if I run into something that I can add, I'm doing it.
Thank you Ubuntu for a fantastic OS: 10.04 Lucid.

    Re: Laptop Hardware Compatibility List.

I have a Laptop - Dell D620 that was working great with Ubuntu 10.10 . I upgraded to 11.04 yesterday. my 802.11 wi-fi was working fine with 10.10, but is not working with 11.04 . Broadcom DW1390 minicard.

I also hate the gnome 3 interface, but i can work on that later.
