Organizing/Advocating Gnu-Linux/OS/etc.
Hey folks. I'm seeing the list of cities, states and countries around the world that are switching to Open Source, OpenDoc, Linux, etc. It's impressive. It's also pretty depressing how they're all overseas. Let's start coordinating our letterwriting, petitioning, fundraising, what-have-you. I think we can make very persuasive arguments towards California's school districts, which are perpetually short of cash. I'd be more than willing to start talking to folks here in Pasadena USD, but I'd like to know if we have any local techies who would be willing to help me talk the talk with their people. Let's do something.
Peace.
