    Linux on Zune?

    What's with this picture? Is it a prank or what?

    (it's an article about micro$oft and the zune player, but the player in front has a huge penguin on the screen

    It's gotta be a joke. M$ would not put linux on their handheld lol

    Amusing article though. It's funny to hear them bitch about Apple being so intrenched in the mp3 player market.

    Yes, the screenshot is a joke. I wonder where Alaska Report got the picture, as it's not used on the Reuters site. I guess a Linux geek is working at the website.

    Linux on the Zune would be cool, though. It seems like a nifty piece of hardware. Hopefully its Wi-fi capabilities can be further exploited to make it able to stream internet radio (like the new Sansa Connect) and share music without lacing it with DRM. Heck, that screen is big enough for some good ol' web browsing!

    EDIT: On a related note, the Sansa Connect runs on Linux and Mono, which is pretty cool Despite being based on open source technologies, though, it does not play Ogg Vorbis files.
