What part of Kentucky are you based in?

Hey - I'm in Winchester, KY but I'm from Lexington. I'm new to Linux and loaded both Debian and Ubuntu to try out and I could not be happier with Ubuntu. The GUI is smooth, it is easy to use and it has so many useful programs. I set up a dual boot system with two hard drives. Originally, I tried to dual boot with both Windows XP and Ubuntu on the same drive with different partitions and had some funky issues but all is good at this point. I hope to contribute somehow instead of just asking ten billion questions - but I wouldn't hold my breath..;]

Hi there HalynR!!! Welcome to the Bluegrass! Somerset is a real nice town. I'm from Lex but have a good buddy who lives down there. There is also an office from a previous employer down there so I make it down your way quite a bit.

For a client that behaves almost exactly like mIRC, you can install XChat from the repositories. Even if you don't need help with anything, we're always good for some generic nerdy banter.

Hey, I am from the "woods" lol... I actually live on the border of Greenup, Carter, and Lewis counties, about 25 minutes from Portsmouth Ohio, about 25 minutes from Grayson KY, about 25 minutes from Ashland KY, about 25 minutes from Vanceburg KY.... in the "WOODS"

I'm in Lexington until the end of the year, then back home to Dunnville, Kentucky which is south of Danville and Liberty. (Yeah, it's tiny... probably won't even find it on most maps!)
