Hey my name is mike and I hail from MA. I caught the Ubuntu bug about a month ago thanks to a cnet article about it. I would like to join the team and help spread the enthusiasm. I would like to know what the steps are in joining and how I might help out in my local area. I live about 30 min south of Boston in the Brockton area. ~Mike~
What's your email address on Launchpad? If you don't know what I'm talking about, launchpad.net

is there a team for New Yorks 5 boroughs i would like to help out i am a noob!
I don't believe so, but you can start one if you like! Just log into Launchpad.net and start a group for your area, then Jozef or I can add the group to the NU Ubuntu Team group.
may i ask how do i go about creating a loco team for my area
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoCoTeamHowto Read that I'm not sure how to make a group on Launchpad though. Let's wait for Jozef to wake up for that part.
I think if I am understanding the article properly it is saying that (just to interpert) New england has a local team. So smaller groups could organize and get things going but they would all fall under the NE local team.
