Yeah, LOL, I know it's sad and geeky but I love installing and trying out new distro's. The good thing is that there are so many small distro's like DSL about, they download in no time.

As Forrest Gump said "Linux is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get"

I had NO luck with Featherlinux, it downloaded fine but I could never get the graphics tweaked right.

I have one for you, it's been around for a while: Yoper

( back in 2003 Yoper was the sixth most popular Distro according to Distrowatch)

    one of my favorite Distros!

    http://linux-ds.unidu.hr/yoper/yos-kde-i686-2.2.0-6.iso

let me know how that ISO image works for you. (It is only a install image)

Funny I was just discussing this over lunch with my wife, we decided it's a perfectly healthy vice of mine: I don't drink, womanize, or do drugs. So I guess that makes me sort of a geek but I enjoy test driving Linux Distros.

Yopper coming down.(644 Mb Ouch !) hope it's worth it

My wife has only one concern, that is, when I'm messing around with installs and partitions, I don't mess up her Dapper desktop.
I've done it twice already this month, but managed to sort hers out before she found out

Awesome news Musix has a new version out!!!

    Musix 0.49

    http://www.musix.org.ar/en/download.html

This Distro is the first one I got to work on my EM64T Dual-Core

    Development Release: Musix GNU/Linux 0.49

An experimental version of Musix GNU/Linux has been released for public testing: "The Musix project has released Musix 0.49, along with 459 updated software packages, a new Linux kernel version 2.6.16, and the KANOTIX installer. Musix 0.49 is an experimental version that was made to support new hardware, for example the SATA hard disks, and new sound and video cards. The most relevant upgraded packages into Musix 0.49: AbiWord 2.4.4 (word processor based on GTK+), Beast 0.6.6 (music synthesis and composition framework), Denemo 0.7.5 (a GTK+ frontend to GNU LilyPond); jackd 0.101.1 (JACK Audio Connection Kit...." Find more details in the release announcement. Download: MusixGNU+Linux-0.49.iso (688MB); also available via BitTorrent.

Yoper is worth it but have only used the older version:

    yos-i686-2.1.0-4.iso

    found here:
    http://www.yoper.com/download.php

remember Yoper is only an install Distro as far as I know no live CD available.

Heard of SLAX? It's my #1 "small distro". Check it out in the unlikely case that you missed it.

    Re: GoblinX Talk

This thread is quite old now, but what the heck.... i'm gonna ask anyway.

Has anyone tried the latest version of Goblinx? I was thinking of D/L & having a go. Two editions, Premium & standard. I guess the premium has "More" on it?

Anyway, if anyone (RAV?) has any info on this distro i'd be very interested.
