Ogre3D

The best (or one of the best) free (as freedom) 3d-engine Ogre3D is seriously out of date
Repository's version now seems to be incompatible with the current version
Is there a chance to update it or compiling is the only way to receive current version?

I'm not so expirienced in Ubuntu, but I'm not noob to GameDev and such powerful engine as Ogre3d will be a very good thing to Ubuntu. GameDev is a place, where you should always use newest versions

I absolutely think the Ogre3D packages should be updated. It is still 1.2.5. Ogre3D is one of the best OpenSource 3D Engines!!! Is there a reason for this?
