Is it possible to get cheats for VBA?

Wouldn't that just depend on what game you're playing? If the game you're playing has cheats, then yes. Otherwise, no.

    Am I understanding you correctly?

I think he means are there sites for cheats to VBA.

I think the emulator uses a gameshark code system, so you would have to search for game codes for the gameshark. I also think they are hexadecimal numbers, so don't get worried if that's what you find.

Gotcha. I looked at the FAQ on their site and they didn't mention it not being available in the linux version.

That said, I've never used VBA and don't know how to do it.

How do you use the gameshark codes? thats what I have been trying to figure out! (should have been more specific)

Don't know specifically how to get to the codes in the gameshark codes section (don't have VBA on Linux, and can't remember), but you should go to the codes section, and somehow find add codes.

After you've done this (or before, I mean it doesn't matter), search for the code you want, and pretty much just copy and paste it to the gameshark code thing.

You might have to wait to get a more specific answer, sorry I can't help much further...

Ok, i'm running "gvba" 1.7.2 and i can launch a game. In the Menu is see: File, Options, Tools, Help.

I can't see the cheats menu to enter gameshark codes.

    I did find out this:

    http://www.users.waitrose.com/~thunor/rbvba/index.html

I succesfully used it to change the value on a game save.

Make sure you read the "READ ME" as it has instructions on how to do it.
I used the hex trainer to find the address, once i it came down to one. I added it, then change the value stored in that address from the cheat list. Then made sure it was "checked" and hit apply. It works
