    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    Well... I'm thoroughly confused.

    As seen in the thumbnail, I'm getting the month and year to show up, but nothing else. I've got the scripts set up correctly (I think), but still nothing. Here's the scripts I'm using:

    Conkyrc
    Code:
     # killall conky && conky -c ~/conky.test &

    ###  Begin Window Settings  ##################################################
    # Create own window instead of using desktop (required in nautilus)
    own_window yes
    own_window_type normal
    own_window_transparent yes
    own_window_hints undecorated,below,skip_taskbar,skip_pager
    own_window_colour gray
    own_window_class Conky
    own_window_title test

    # Use the Xdbe extension? (eliminates flicker)
    # It is highly recommended to use own window with this one
    # so double buffer won't be so big.
    double_buffer yes

    ### ARGB can be used for real transparency
    ### NOTE that a composite manager is required for real transparency.
    ### This option will not work as desired (in most cases) in conjunction with
    ### own_window_type normal
    # own_window_argb_visual yes

    ### When ARGB visuals are enabled, this use this to modify the alpha value
    ### Use: own_window_type normal
    ### Use: own_window_transparent no
    ### Valid range is 0-255, where 0 is 0% opacity, and 255 is 100% opacity.

    Add a line for cpu2:
    Code:
    ${voffset 0}
    ${goto 65}${font 6x10:size=7,weight:normal}${color}core 1:${goto 100}${cpu cpu1}%
    ${goto 65}${font 6x10:size=7,weight:normal}${color}core 2:${goto 100}${cpu cpu2}%
    ${voffset -45}
    it will change the spacing so you will need to tweak that.

    And change the time:
    %l (lower-case 'L') Hour in 12-hour format, with a space preceeding single digits 1 through 12
    %M Two digit representation of the minute 00 through 59
    ${time %l:%M}

    thank you Sector 11, other than the clock looking a little off the conky output is much better

    Check your code.
    Code:
    ${time %l:%M}
    Should show the same as your panel clock without the "AM".

    Something isn't right. That's what I gave him but it looks like he has ${time 0:$l:$M} and that will throw the spacing off.

    I grabbed the original conky - will look at the code today.

    @ Mint4Ever

    I grabbed the original conky and tweaked it a bit. Didn't touch the lua script other than to change the cpu1 to cpu0 to get the Average usage as I have a triple core. I tried to add the other three but ran into an "Oops! LUA isn't my thing.

    Changed the layout a bit too and corrected some code oopsies! ie:

    ${goto 165}${font 6x10:size=5,weight:normal}${color2}${top_mem name 1}${goto 220}${top_mem pid 1}${goto 250}${top_mem mem 1}%

    ${goto 165}${font 6x10:size=5,weight:normal}${color}${top_mem name 3}${goto 220}${top_mem pid 3}${goto 250}${top_mem mem 3}%
    ${goto 165}${font 6x10:size=5,weight:normal}${color}${top_mem name 4}${goto 220}${top_mem pid 3}${goto 250}${top_mem mem 4}%

    and all those redundant font and colour calls ... scheech, once it's set --- it's set until you change it!

    Stripped out the wlan stuff, I'm on a desktop computer connected to a cable modem.

    Changed the font .. and even with that I needed a magnifying glass for these old eyes. But it looks good hanging on a wall.

    Of course this means it's now a different conky.
