True, I have three other monitors and six other computers sitting here. some older and two fairly new (Vista). Friends keep giving me "old computers that don't work". LOL. Do I add a monitor, or just set up another 'puter? Decisions, decisions. As my mother used to say, "Don't encourage me."

Isn't that why we use multiple monitors ?

Well... The code should work for multiple monitors as well. It doesn't take much tweaking. It's remarkably simplified.

Multiple Monitors, Multiple Workspaces, Multiple Desktops, Multiple "Viewports" according to Compiz.

I regret, though, that it hasn't been tested on every window manager. A list of the ones that is HAS been tested on is listed there.

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

I did a fresh install of 12.04 the other night, I kinda expected to have some issues with conky not working and have resolved the one with my weather conky. Other than the feed but that's not a big deal. My main conky with the hardware monitors won't work yet. I realised I needed to reinstall conky and now have 1.8.1 but when I try to start the main I get...
    Code:
    brendan@brendan-MS-7636:~$ conky -c ~/.conkyrc
Conky: llua_load: /home/brendan/.conky/draw_bg.lua:86: 'end' expected (to close 'function' at line 60) near '<eof>'
Conky: can't open '/sys/bus/platform/devices/coretemp.0/temp1_input': No such file or directory
please check your device or remove this var from Conky

    ***** Imlib2 Developer Warning ***** :
This program is calling the Imlib call:

        imlib_context_free();

        With the parameter:

        context

being NULL. Please fix your program.
The coretemp.0 file is missing and temp1_input is located somewhere else.
/sys would have been in the root section correct ? I don't recall configuring such a file when I started messing with conky, but my memory doesn't work all that well lol. I have searched for a couple hours but I haven't found any help yet.
Is this common when upgrading ?

I see you are using Arch. Install the following from AUR http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=31589
