    Heh!

Maybe they'll do that, after the sustained DDoS attack goes away...

    Er...

I mean, after they install the new server. LoL!

I have a *feeling* that somebody/some group is specifically targeting those "community" forums, for attack.

It's a shame that the original Conky thread was started over there!

A lot of simulated tribal fighting takes place, in those "community" threads...

That way, you'll always have the latest version...
No, I didn't see that - you're not suggesting ... no you wouldn't do that.

Funny I have the fonts and have NO IDEA where I got them or when, but in the NOTICE file:

I take it that it is OK to have them

    AFAIK, it's perfectly OK...

Obviously, you wouldn't want to distribute or use a pirated Droid Pro Family package...

    Extra Credit Reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Droid_(font)#Droid_Pro

But, Google gives the regular Droid Font Family away for *free* and encourages its use and development.

It simply becomes a matter of finding a convenient (and easy to use) source.

    Speaking of free n' easy...

If you're looking for a convenient way to upgrade to Conky 1.8.1...

Here's a nice deb file source (Cesare Tirabassi PPA): https://launchpad.net/~norsetto/+arc...ildjob/1999204

I used it to install Conky 1.8.1, without issue(s), on my Ubu 10.04/10.10 (32-bit) machines.

    +1

Trying something a bit different. Piping conky through dzen2 to the ScrotWm status bar to get some color.

When is someone going to merge all the VinDSL fonts into a single file?

There is no compelling reason to do this, other than quirkiness. I find it easier to keep track of my Conky fonts, that way.
The base fonts for weather icons etc are included in the conkyForecast package are installed to the location above...So so all who don't know you've added additional fonts to the existing conkyforecast font installation folder. I've not added any fonts to the folder so the attached screenshot shows what you start with.

Just thought it was worth mentioning...

edit: the sfd files are there for editing using such things as font forge...some of these fonts were created specially for the script
