    But I want it to remain 'beneath' my other windows when I maximize.

    Anyone can give me a tip about that one?

    Hey

    Thanks for reading my post so quickly, elendilnl
    Here is my file, such as it is.
    I think I figured it out with:

    The next issue I am having is with Rhythmbox.
    I boot off one drive and have my files on another.
    While it does show the track that is playing it is not showing the track image (the cover of the CD - or what have you).
    I thought if I pointed it to the device address plus the files it would work, but no go.

    Where is it that I am going wrong?

    The next step after I get the conky data I want is formatting it funkily. But first, I want to get the data right. After the weather and the music, I think the time and then maybe a Facebook window for my wife.....

    That should help with layout issues.

    So this is after a week of me tinkering around. Conky took me forever to setup just because it took me a while to figure out what each code did.... is it just me or is there a therapeutic aspect to coding? haha

    Let me know me know what you think or if you have any suggestions
    Wow, I am impressed with your work. Your desktop is absolutely gorgeous! And yes coding is definitely therapeutic, I agree 100%. Btw what toolbar/tweak thing are you using to show that mac-esque toolbar at the bottom?
    That'll put hair on your chest...

    Hi guys, thanks for the help with the alignment problems... After much OCD fine tuning things are looking a little slicker...

    Just a quickie now.

    I want my SSID to show in my conky (And the name of the router I am connected to)
    I have tried:
    Code:
    ${wireless_essid wlan0}
    and:
    Code:
    ${wireless_essid wlan1}
    but neither give any output. Are there any other variables I should be aware of?

    Thanks, M

    A dirty experiment to play with options and SVG Wallpaper (not for production ^^). SVG draw masks and load the Wall, this allow u to change masks easily, change wallpaper, etc

    Right now this is not my desktop, I don't use this conky, so not sure if this conkyrc backup matches this screenshot 100% exactly. :S
