    I think your problem is that your conky is starting too soon, i.e before the desktop is loaded. Try delay the start of conky using the pause variable (pause =12) anyone? or using a bash script to start.

    maybe you can try this code

    Code:
    #!bin/bash

    sleep 20 && conky -d
    save as start-conky.sh and put as autostart

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    Im a little confused, My cpu is specified at 2.1 ghz but each core is equating to about 1 ghz.
    Code:
    ${color0}CPU1 ${color}${cpu cpu1}% ${goto 53} @ ${freq_g 1}GHz ${goto 116} ${cpubar cpu1 8,30}${color0}${goto 225}CPU2 ${color}${cpu cpu2}% ${goto 275} @ ${freq 2}MHz ${goto 335} ${cpubar cpu2 8,30}
    am I just configuring wrong, or is this what my actual output is?
    -ASUS U46: Intel Core I5(Sandy Bridge) 8 gb Ram, Integrated Graphics card. Currently running Ubuntu 13.04(64bit)

    It's simple and to the point! Not a thing wrong with that!

    I'll have to post a screen shot again soon after a bit of tweaking that I've been putting off in favor of getting actual work done.

    Maybe I'll do that today since it IS a national holiday.

    Very nice.

    I'm trying to set-up a more minimalistic conky in my desktop. How did you put the icons and the temperature of the two CPUs in separate?

    Could you post the scripts?
    I've never put icons on my conky so I'm not sure how to do it.

    Cheers
