    Sometimes you use media/sda1 and sometimes media/sda. I believe the correct notation is /path/to/mount/point/ starting and ending with a /. Of course the path has to exist and you'll need to have a partition mounted there (else it will display the info of your root partition).

    Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

    I realise this is from a while ago, but this is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. The only thing is I do not know how to make it work. I'm running Ubuntu 9.10.
    Though the solution is almost certainly in this thread somewhere I do not want to search through several hundred pages of posts. So I leave it to you experts. I have no trouble setting up a regular conky but this is stumping me...

    Thank you for your help!

    Looks awesome. Everything you need appears to be in the quoted post. What issue are you having?

    I went and copied the first code window into my conkyrc. I already had my startup.sh set up so I left that alone. But I did not know what to do with the second code window. When I went to start conky I got a terminal full of "no such command" errors.

    I should mention that even though I can set up a simple cony I am still very new to Ubuntu/Linux. Something that may be more obvious to more seasoned users is typically going to be news to me.
    Thanks again!

    Take the text in thefirst code window and paste it into a new text document save that document as heart.sh

    then you put the following in your conky file:

    Code:
    ${font Return Of Ganon:size=20}${execpi 20 ~/heart.sh}
    You will need to install the font and this assumes that heart.sh is saved in your home folder as well.

    I forgot to mention you might want to make heart.sh executable type the following at a command prompt:

    Code:
    sudo chmod +x /path/to/heart.sh

    have you run sudo aptitude install libdate-manip-perl to install the deb package that the script needs?

    OOPS! looks like the codemangling gremlins were at work on CH! from before we started using the code plugin... update your script with the new code and it should be much better.
