Is there a way when summiting a thread to have disable smilies in text by default?

Really irritating to post to only find out you have to re-edit to Disable smilies in text.

That would be a very good feature indeed... very annoying sometimes (wireless scan, etc.).

Yes, and make sure that if someone types LOL or ROFL that they have some evidence to back it up.

This is web 2.0 I want to see an embedded video or soundbyte of that individual actually rolling on the floor laughing.
