HOWTO change gnome-foot into ubuntu logo

ok, it worked. I hadn't the ubuntu-desktop installed.

Now i have another question that doesn't relate with this topic.

Now i have something called "ubuntu update manager" and i have synaptic. Let me see if i understand. The update manager is just for the updates the system needs, and synaptic to install software. Is this right?

I think its not the default because Ubuntu doesn't want to **** off the Gnome devs.
