mp3 playing error!

Hello,
I use gmplayer and mpeg321 but either way sometimes it looks like there is a conflict between something ( different accesses to dsp ) that lead to a crash and I get no audio.
Any hint ?

Sure ,
it worked since yesterday night for mp3 and ogg.
Since I started using timidity for midi files and looking at videos on youtube.com I had problems.
Now it looks like sound system is dead.

I can't help; however, this is not the forum to post in. Desktop Support would be the best place (you'd get more attention there).

you could try reinstalling the alsa or oss systems...
