Yeah, sorry, I should have been more specific: I have the Edgy packages for compiz, not the Dapper ones. I recall seeing Dapper packages posted somewhere else on these forums, so maybe you can find those.

I've seen that one, and my guide is largely based off it. Of course, now that the repos are offline til beryl, there's little point in any of these howtos.

Yes, the repos are down, in anticipation of Beryl. Your best bet is to just wait a few days til Beryl is released, then follow a guide for that.

Beryl is already in Dapper's repos. I am not sure how stable it is but I've just replaced compiz with it. Beryl's splash screen is work or art really!
