i've tried to post a question on Discourse but it didn't accepted it. i got an error. why? tnx
my desktop computer is with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
There is a long thread in the Cafe section of the forum on the transition from Forum to Discourse. It reveals the work that needs to be done and the issues that have to be overcome. It seems that on Discourse a person needs "credit." The moderators of Discourse give that credit when a person does certain things like Replying in a Topic (Thread). Some of the moderators on Ubuntu Forums have transitioned to be moderators on Ubuntu Discourse and they have been granting credit to Ubuntu Forum members as they transition to Discourse. This section of Discourse might, I say might, give some information about using Ubuntu Discourse and it proceedures. Regards Regards

Not an Ubuntu support question; thread moved to Forum Feedback & Help which will have to do for problems using the Discourse site until this site is closed. Looks like you finally found the correct section of Discourse to post your question. Well done.
so if the discourse isn't well where can i user get support?

It is unclear what you might mean by "isn't well" If the Discourse website is down, simply wait a few minutes. It will come back up. I think you have been around the community long enough to know where the other official community help venues are.
i've always used the forums.. what are the other venues?

Clarification: We advise new folks to use the "Start here" link if they have a question: https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/welco...and-help/49951 This will prevent the frustration of wandering the wrong paths into development and documentation categories that they cannot post in. Only the Support and Help category permits posting by new users.
