    won't wake from suspend

    Dual boot off of same drive. Win11 comes right to life, Xubuntu 24.04 will not. Suspend works apparently: lights and fans go off, screens go dark. When trying to wake it back up, all I get is the mouse pointer on the screen. I can move the pointer. Fans and lights come back on OK.

    @Autodave
    Don't know if this will work for you or not.

    I had a similar problem with an adjacent computer through an KVM A/B switch. One of the PCs would go into sleep/suspend mode and would not respond/wakeup after switching to that PC.

    Resolved by going into Settings -> Power Manager, tab Display, under Display power management (On), move all sliders (Blank after, Put to sleep after, Switch off after) to far left (Never).

    I am sure that that would stop it from sleeping, but I would really like it to sleep/suspend when left standing with nothing going on.

    As quick as these new machines boot these days, you could just turn it off

    Another suggestion:
    Win11 comes right to life, Xubuntu 24.04 will not.
    Revisit suggestion in Post #2.
    ...would really like it to sleep/suspend when left standing with nothing going on.
    Leave your new machine operating/sleeping with Win11.
    Cheers,
