Steam Doom Eternal Proton Experimental - Game starting but no window is spawning

Hi all,

i'm having a weird glitch with Doom Eternal on Steam.
Running on updated Ubuntu 22.04 here and had Doom Eternal installed via steam on Proton Experimental.
I was able to play the game before fine but now it seems that the game starts just fine as i can hear the intros and the music from main menu etc but there is no window spawning.
When i checked this i found that in the left upper corner a tiny window is visible which as far as i can tell could be the doom window but i cant click on it or enlarge it.

Other Proton games run just fine, fyi.
