    Ubuntu 24.10 Screen Blanking Problem

    I recently upgraded from Ubuntu 24.04 to 24.10, and screen blanking does not function as it used to. Before, when the screen blanked, the monitor would suspend off completely. Now, when the screen blanks, the backlight stays on. I have not found anything in Settings to correct the problem. I am running Gnome 47 with gdm3 on Wayland with an Nvidia GPU.

    Switching from Nouveau drivers to proprietary Nvidia drivers fixed the problem. Any advice on how to get blanking working correctly with nouveau drivers would be appreciated.
