Adding new SSD disk to Zenbook laptop

    Hello
    Question not really about ubuntu.

I was thinking about adding second SSD disk to laptop model Zenbook 14 UX431FL.
And i want to be sure that i located proper slot for it.
In link is image of inside of my laptop:

Ofcourse i have to remove this black thing?

Also in mu laptops specifications that it has to slot for SSD disks:

    1x M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0x2
    1x M.2 2280 SATA3

First one is occupied by original disk, but i have a question whats the difference in PCIe and SATA?

    Thank you!

Re: Adding new SSD disk to Zenbook laptop

The M.2 drives have different slots for different connections.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.2
Two types of M.2 SSD (SATA and PCIe)
SSD's using the SATA bus tend to use B-keys
SSD's using the PCIe x2 bus can use both B-keys & M-keys (to maximize compatibility)
NOTE: SSD's using the PCIe x4 bus (very fast SSD's) use M-keys since it's the only one that supports PCIe x4 lanes
