Question How to save bookmarks on top of list ?

    Hello.
What command should be used so the bookmarks are saved the latest on top of the list when you want to access/display them ? I think I may have the gnome something. (desktop?)
Is there a toggle command to reverse the order bookmarks have been saved until now; where to reach the latest saved have to look at the bottom of the list ?
Most of my bookmarks are time/sensitive and older should be at the bottom of the list.

Are we speaking Browser Bookmarks? or Directory Bookmarks....curious minds need to know.

I like this>>"ls | sort -r" but we need what Bookmarks first.

Ctrl D will save them to last saved-to browser folder. IDK how to save to top of folder list.

    Search turns this up...
To save a bookmark to the top of a folder list in Chrome, open your bookmarks manager, locate the bookmark you want to move, then simply click and drag it to the top of the desired folder where you want it to appear first; you can drag and drop bookmarks within folders to reorder them as needed.
    Key steps:
    Open Chrome.
Click the three dots in the top right corner and select "Bookmarks" then "Bookmark Manager".
Find the bookmark you want to move to the top.
Click and hold on the bookmark, then drag it to the top position within the folder.
This is how I have always done it.
Sometimes, one needs to purge the bookmark listings because they grow.
    Cheers,

No Chrome here. No Firefox here. Only use the Brave browser.

You can specify how to sort them if you use (or would use) Firefox.

Firefox Settings > Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Views > Sort > Sort Options
