    That is a choice you would have to decide for yourself though.

    EDIT: Nice that sound is working though.
    I'll risk getting rid of them. I can't think why I would want to keep them. And I suppose it's pretty straightforward to reinstall anything I need. So here goes!

    Yep anything needing a reinstall will be the old usual apt install.

    I'm going out on limb but I think you'll be happier without them.

    That's what I suspected. So I no longer have them.
