Hello
I hope a kind stranger can help me get to the position where I once again can choose Windows 10 or Linux when switching on.
This is how I got myself in a pickle:
- had a Win10 machine
- installed Debian as a dual boot (with its GRUB loader), then decided I didn't like it
- researched how to replace the Linux partitions with Ubuntu
- created an Ubuntu 24.10 USB stick to boot from
- followed instructions about manually deleting the Debian partitions then installing Ubuntu to new space
However, the Ubuntu installation failed. Restarting takes me to the GRUB Rescue screen, where all the remaining partitions are described as 'unknown filesystem'
I therefore came to Ubuntu's community boot-repair feature, was able to install it from my live USB stick, and got the output that is now copied to Ubuntu Pastebin:
What should my next steps be?
TIA.
