I have a huge display (2 or more times than the monitor)

I have a huge display and can't seem to fix it. I have been to settings and tweaks and everything seems ok. I did a search and it was suggested that I try xtrandr -q and see what happens. I have the results but not real sure as to what comes next.

    Here is the result:

In Settings>>Monitor or Displays, is the current setting changeable?
Or for the same Tool use {Super or Windows Loge + P} again check the resolution setting
And without saying pick the right or effected screen.

Re: I have a huge display (2 or more times than the monitor)

    Thank you for the reply.........

In Settings the display resolution is 1024x768 (4:3) which how all my others are set. I have tried to change it to anything and it will not move. I am not familiar of Super or Windows Loge +P

I sent this when I got the result that I did as it made no sense to me.

I decided to change the display board. Tried too hard and trashed the machine. Therefore I will mark this one as solved, at least for a while...........

Did you power down the system before you "change(d) the display board"?

Yah, I had to open the case and move something out of the way (it was a tricky one). When I moved a part of the case (it held 2 drives) something went bang and it kinda screwed up the entire inside of the machine and so I just gave up. What a I do is buy used machines that have no operating system, etc and they are cheap but usually have good boards. then I install ubuntu and have at it. I have been doing it for a long time but not recently and am not paying all that much attention which is, most of the time, my fault. Should have been more careful.
